Back to School Event

The Infolinks Media team, along with our partner Feed The Children, recently volunteered at the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic to provide 400 children and families with back-to-school essentials, new toys and food items.

The children selected a backpack from ten available styles and were able to fill it with books, folders, crayons and pencils. Afterwards an ice cream truck delighted the boys and girls with their favorite popsicle.

A Delightful Day for Everyone

The children at the Boys and Girls Club left not just with school supplies and food boxes, but with smiles on their faces.

In the afternoon, the kids of each age group were very excited to show off their dance routines that they worked on during the summer camp. There was a fun energy throughout the room and everyone enjoyed the performance.

It was a memorable day that had a lasting impact on the children, their families, and the Infolinks team.

“It was a joyful, bountiful, beautiful way to end our Summer Programming and kick off the school year and something we will not soon forget.” – Wendy McGuire, CEO Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic

The Case for Corporate Volunteering

Why should employers offer volunteering opportunities to their employees?

Company-sponsored volunteering initiatives contribute to employee engagement, a sense of purpose, pride in the employer, personal growth, and job satisfaction. Companies can enhance employee engagement by supporting their employees’ interests in such programs.

Among the companies that track the connection of employee volunteering to employee engagement, 96% find that employee volunteers are more engaged than non-volunteering peers.
