Coming up with great content to blog about can be difficult; each week something new and entertaining for your readers, perhaps something informative. It doesn’t have to be too hard though, and for this week’s Better Blogger Challenge series, Infolinks brings you tools to help you conquer this often times difficult task. So never fear bloggers, with a bit of practice and hard work you’ll be churning out stellar blog content in no time.
First, think about what your audience wants. What are their interests and their needs? You should have a good idea about this from what your most read posts are and from the comments left on each post. Have your readers asked for certain topics or asked questions that all lead to a certain topic?
Write about your passions. What is it that you love and want to share with your readers? Writing about your passions will also help you to define your own writing voice and style, to separate you from other bloggers.
Read, read, read. Read whatever you can on the subject. This will improve your writing and your knowledge on the topic, helping you to create great content. You can sign up for newsletters from other blogs, read books and magazines and anything else you can get your hands on.
Now think about how you’re going to convey the message of this blog post. If you decide to simply write out the post, you have several options. Which point of view are you coming from? A blogger point of view? An advertiser point of view? Again, think of your audience. Perhaps you don’t want to straight up write a post, maybe you want to present slides, images or even a video. There are several ways to present a post, think outside the box!
Start thinking about your upcoming blog posts, how can you derive more ideas off of this one?
Think of:
- A more specific topic from the first post
- Spin-off ideas
- Bringing in a professional for an interview
One post can easily turn into a whole thread of posts, a series of posts, and each one with their own layout and structure. How have you turned one piece of content into many different posts? Share your tips with the community on Facebook, Twitter, and Google +.
